Altered Paper Mache Book Box

Hi everyone! I want to share the altered book box that I just completed!
You can find the kit to do this at Pinque Peacock's Crafty Kit Club
This is the July kit and I purchased the Soft and Shabby

The only thing I added from my own stash was the metal flower and large pearl. You can find both of those items at Miriam's Crafting Supplies    I also used Antique Matte Mod Podge which is not included in the kit.
I started by wadding up the tissue paper in the kit because I wanted the book to have that shabby look. I used mod podge to attach it. When it dried I mixed the 2 colors of paint in my kit to get this pinkish color then just did random brushes of paint to get the look I wanted. On the spine I just used the gold tissue paper and mod podge.
The inside I finished the lid the same way then tore sheets of the paper and inked the edges in gold and attached those. I used the gold paper in the kit for the bottom and 2 long sides the cut strips from a pattered paper in the kit for the 2 short sides.
I have to say Jessica at Pinque Peacock did an amazing job putting this kit together!! I even had product left over! I totally loved working with this kit :)

Life is a Journey

Hi everyone! It is my day to post on the
I have decided to do a birthday card for a very special person in my life.
Here it is :)

I started with a standard heavy weight card stock and scored it so I could create the easel.
Then cut and added some print card stock from Prima and it is called free spirit.
I love the colors and prints.
Then I pulled out my Pinque Peacock Flower and pin stash. I found the perfect flower from Pinque Peacock and it is a Fabric Splendid Swirl with a center embellishment. It just went perfect with the papers.
The beautiful Pin is Pinque Peacock too of course!! It is one of the beaded stick pins. Now I don't know if Jessica can still create that exact one but she has beautiful beads and can create one of your choice!!!
All of the resin cameos and other embellishments are from Websters Pages. The trim is unknown.
I also used a piece of a doily, a cats eye ink pad and 2 wood banners. All unknown.
Life is definitely a journey and I hope you all have a fabulous one.

Crafty Happiness!

Hello fellow crafters :)
I have been trying to branch out of my crafting comfort zone and this is another one of my firsts.
I decided to make a shadow box of my favorite crafty embellishments.

Now for the life of me I could not get the yellow cast off of the photo. My lighting is bad in my apartment and the weather is not good for an outdoor pic.
I started with a craft colored shadow box and painted it brown. I then used a prima cardstock and placed it in the back of the squares. I then used burlap and placed it over the cardstock.
Next in the upper left square I used 2 metal corners from Miriams Crafting supplies. I then took a beautiful Stick Pin from Pinque Peacock and turned it into a dragonfly using my favorite twine. (Trendy Twine). Now in the upper right square I used a wishing well from Prima. My grass is ribbon from 3 Girl JAM and the cute cardinal  is from a purchase from Blitzy.
The lower left is a beautiful bloom from Pinque Peacock. I then added a burlap button and butterfly pin and both are Pinque Peacock! The lower right is all prima and websters pages.
These are all things that make me happy:)
I love watching dragonflies, butterflies and birds. I love the old fashioned wells and have always wanted one. I love flowers of all kinds and Pinque Peacock is a joy to work with. The cameo holds my favorite saying. Now to get some of the beautiful flowers, buttons and stick pens head over to pinque peacock!!!!

Never Give Up

Today is my day to post for Pinque Peacock!!
I chose to step away from doing a Christmas item for this post. I have a family member that was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. One of my little sisters so I chose to make a card for her and to encourage all of you to have all of your annual check ups. If you have been diagnosed and are battling this terrible disease Never Give Up!!!

Here is my card

I started with a solid blue basic card stock. I then used a piece of kraft colored card stock and cut it down and rounded the edges. I used a pretty blue gel pen in blue and faux stitched the edge. Next I used a piece of pretty print paper from my stash and rounded the edges of that one also.I then took the cardstock with the sentiment on it and rounded those edges then used a brown chalk ink pad to ink the edges. Next I added the cute pink feather trim. I took the ribbon charm in the lower right corner and tied Trendy Twine in Tickled with Teal into a small bow then used teal stickles and put a drop on the tails of the ribbon. The silver ribbon charm is from Pinque Peacock. I then used a piece of BoBunny Double Dot Ribbon in teal to make my ribbon loop. Next I added a beautiful Baby Girl Pink Pleated Petal from Pinque Peacock. For the flower center I used a 3/4 inch fabric covered button from the Zoo Baby Collection from Pinque Peacock. Now this card would not be complete without a beautiful Angel Pin from Pinque Peacock. This one is in white.
When it was all put together I used the same teal Stickles and made small drops all the way around the card stock sentiment. One of the greatest things about the beautiful Hand Made items from Pinque Peacock is regardless of what the theme of the release is most of the items can be used at anytime. They have a timeless beauty. Thank-you for stopping by today!

Beauty with Pinque Peacock

Hi everyone! Today is my day to post for Pinque Peacock..
Today I have a Scrapbook page for you. I scrapped my Nieces Senior picture.
She graduated this year and will be going off to college this next school year. So I wanted this page to be full of beautiful things to match this incredible young ladies beauty. She is beautiful inside and out.
So I grabbed my boxes of Pinque! Here is the first sneak peek.
One of the reasons I love Pinque Peacock is because it is so versatile. I used a beautiful Beaded Stick Pin and a small piece of netting and made the dragonfly on the upper right of this pic. Did you know you can order the Elegant Florals with or without a center? I normally purchase mine with out the center embellishment because then I can add my own to change the whole look of the flower! You can see the pretty yellow and white elegant floral and that pretty Pink one.. Well I added a blingy victorian type center to it. Now look at that amazing  Hot Pink and Cream Elegant Loop De Loop Flower. It is perfect with that Large Rhinestone Center. I wanted Elegant and I got it with Pinque peacock.
Here is the next close up:

I also love the Unique Made to Order Buttons the pretty blue one in the lower right is a 1.5 inch and then I added the black heart embellishment to it. They also come in a 3/4 inch. You can get them as a flat back or as a standard back Button. The matching ribbon is from 3 girl jam and I love the stuff it is amazing to work with.
Now here is the full picture of my project
Be sure to visit Pinque Peacock for beautiful unique embellishments!
Jessica even does special orders :)
Thank-you for stopping in today!!

It is a wonderful Red, White and Blue Bundle available right now in the 3 girl jam store. I also used an amazing Patriotic Stick Pin from Pinque Peacock! Now for the next close up
In this photo you see the Splendid Swirl in red and the star stick pin! Now here is the last photo:
This is a much better shot of the Adorable Patriotic stick pin from Pinque Peacock I used red crinkle ribbon from 3 girl jam and the amazing bow maker from 3 girl jam to make the bow to slip my Patriotic Stick Pin in.
