Halloween Mail Box

Hi everyone!! I have neglected my blog for a long time and it is time to get back on track!!
So for my first post I have a Halloween Mail Box.
This was a lot of fun to do.
First I took a chipboard mail box by Darice and painted the body black with acrylic paint.
On the lid edge and back edge I used yellow acrylic paint.
On side 1 pictured here
I used a super cute file from Kadoodle Bug Designs. Here is a link to that file
On the other side is another cute cut but I am not sure who created it.
This is for my daughters family so I added their last name.
On the ends I used Doodle bug designs Halloween paper and a cute ghost cut. I then added the pumpkin ribbon. I used Matte Mod Podge to attach all of the papers and cuts then added a thin coat to the whole project to make it a little more durable. Here is a picture of 1 end both are the same.

Thank-you for stopping by!!!

Altered Paper Mache Book Box

Hi everyone! I want to share the altered book box that I just completed!
You can find the kit to do this at Pinque Peacock's Crafty Kit Club
This is the July kit and I purchased the Soft and Shabby

The only thing I added from my own stash was the metal flower and large pearl. You can find both of those items at Miriam's Crafting Supplies    I also used Antique Matte Mod Podge which is not included in the kit.
I started by wadding up the tissue paper in the kit because I wanted the book to have that shabby look. I used mod podge to attach it. When it dried I mixed the 2 colors of paint in my kit to get this pinkish color then just did random brushes of paint to get the look I wanted. On the spine I just used the gold tissue paper and mod podge.
The inside I finished the lid the same way then tore sheets of the paper and inked the edges in gold and attached those. I used the gold paper in the kit for the bottom and 2 long sides the cut strips from a pattered paper in the kit for the 2 short sides.
I have to say Jessica at Pinque Peacock did an amazing job putting this kit together!! I even had product left over! I totally loved working with this kit :)

Life is a Journey

Hi everyone! It is my day to post on the
I have decided to do a birthday card for a very special person in my life.
Here it is :)

I started with a standard heavy weight card stock and scored it so I could create the easel.
Then cut and added some print card stock from Prima and it is called free spirit.
I love the colors and prints.
Then I pulled out my Pinque Peacock Flower and pin stash. I found the perfect flower from Pinque Peacock and it is a Fabric Splendid Swirl with a center embellishment. It just went perfect with the papers.
The beautiful Pin is Pinque Peacock too of course!! It is one of the beaded stick pins. Now I don't know if Jessica can still create that exact one but she has beautiful beads and can create one of your choice!!!
All of the resin cameos and other embellishments are from Websters Pages. The trim is unknown.
I also used a piece of a doily, a cats eye ink pad and 2 wood banners. All unknown.
Life is definitely a journey and I hope you all have a fabulous one.
