My Cricut Craft Room Card Creating Tuesday
This weeks challenge was to create a card based on a sketch and here is the sketch.
The concept was to create a card for your Mom based on something about your Mom that you hold dear to your heart. For me that was my Moms love of nature and gardening. That is something she passed on to all of her children and I passed it to my daughter and she is passing it to her children. OK with that being said here is what I used to make my card.
I used the Paper Lace 2 cartridge to create the scalloped edge using the blackout feature.Mom was cut from Cricut Craft Room Basics in the standard cut and the blackout feature to layer it.The bird is from the Imagine Cartridge Lori's Garden. The pink butterfly is from the same cartridge.
I started with a white card base and sprayed it with Lime Metallic Maya Mist. then added 2 layers of contrasting card stock. I used Liquid pearls along the edge of my scalloped piece to give it dimension. I did use some little rosettes and resin pieces on this card. I try to stay with using cricut images but I needed tiny flowers to place on the branch.
Thank-you for taking the time in your busy day to visit my blog and have a wonderful creative day!

My Cricut Craftroom Card Creating Tuesday
Hi everyone!
This week the challenge was for me to create a mothers day card. My Mom loves gardening so it was a piece of cake.
I pulled out Freshly Picked, Contemporary Nature and used Cricut Craftroom basics.
The watering can and gloves are from Freshly picked and they were done in layers. You will find the watering Can on page 66 of your booklet. I cut it at 3 inches.
The gloves are on page 56 and they were also cut at 3 inches
I do use cricut craftroom on my projects so After I had my layers laid out on the mat on my screen I then used Cricut Imagine Cartridge Contemporary Nature to flood each layer with color.
I used craftroom basics for the word mom and layered those also. The colors are also from Contemporary Nature and were cut at 1.50 inches.
I used a deep purple card base then I cut a piece of pink card stock about a 1/2 inch smaller all the way around. I then embossed it with my cuttlebug. I distressed the edges of it all the way around and used sage green ink on the distressed edge. Then glued it down to my base.
The borders are from Contemporary Nature and were cut at 8 inches I used my glue runner to attach them to the top and bottom of my card.
I used 3D pop dots to attach the gloves and watering can and liquid glue to attach my lettering.
If you haven't tried Cricut Craftroom yet I highly recommend it. If you have the Imagine machine also and a few Imagine Cartridges it makes card making so easy.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my project today! To see more great cards please go back to:

My Cricut Craftrooms Card Tuesday!!
You will need to poke a hole in the center of each flower. Then you will need to spritz each one lightly with water and stack them starting with the 2 larger ones then the 3 smaller ones on top and put a brad in the center to hold them together. Next you want to carefully wad them up
then using the tool of your choice you need to carefully open each layer until you get the look you want. Then you allow it to dry completely. It will be stiff when it is dry. Keep in mind that if you use colored paper or ink your flowers you may want to wear gloves because you will get color bleed on your hands. Now I wanted this flower to look like an old fashioned rose but you can also use the same cut to make a carnation. You just need to make more layers 6 to 8 layers getting smaller with each cut. I have also made these using white paper and instead of water I spritzed it with Maya Mist. It is a little messy and takes a little time but I love to match my flowers to my projects!! I hope you enjoyed my card and I hope it inspires you to make some flowers!!

On this project I used:
Floral Embellished, Potpourri Basket, and Imagine cartridge Floral emporium.
I started by rounding the edges to give it a finished look and faux stitched around my base with a white gel pen. I then glued down my largest tag centering it as much as possible. I then attached the 2 smaller tags to use as the back drop for my flower and butterfly. I then put a small brad in to hold it together and used perfect Pearls to outline it and cover the brad. The butterfly is a cut from Potpourri Basket and I cut it at 1 and 1/2 inches. It is a clear cut using Graphix clear cut plastic. You will need to use the multi cut feature and cut it twice. I then used perfect pearls to outline the butterfly. The leaves are actually rain drop that I cut at 1 inch from the Potpourri Cartridge then used perfect pearls to outline them. The Best Wishes Sentiment is from the phrase feature on the Florals Embellished Cartridge and I did it in layers. I love color and normally use pretty bold colors and I love to bling projects up. Thank-you for joining us this weekend and good luck on Erica's drawing!! Next you will go to Cheries Blog and here is that link:
