All of the papers were printed from the Imagine cartridge Floral Emporium. Including the paper I used to make the old fashioned rose. The base is a standard Rectangle and I flooded it with color from the floral emporium cartridge using Cricut Craftroom. The Get Well Soon cut is from Imagine cartridge Good Ole Days and you will find it by hitting the icon button. The scalloped Oblong with the butterfly cut out is from Elegant Edges and you will find it on page
30 in your booklet. The flower was made using flower #3 on page 65 of the Elegant edges booklet. I use cricut craftroom on all of my projects so what I did was I cut 2 flowers at 2 inches and 3 flowers at 1.50 inches and flooded them with a red floral print from floral emporium.
You will need to poke a hole in the center of each flower. Then you will need to spritz each one lightly with water and stack them starting with the 2 larger ones then the 3 smaller ones on top and put a brad in the center to hold them together. Next you want to carefully wad them up
then using the tool of your choice you need to carefully open each layer until you get the look you want. Then you allow it to dry completely. It will be stiff when it is dry. Keep in mind that if you use colored paper or ink your flowers you may want to wear gloves because you will get color bleed on your hands. Now I wanted this flower to look like an old fashioned rose but you can also use the same cut to make a carnation. You just need to make more layers 6 to 8 layers getting smaller with each cut. I have also made these using white paper and instead of water I spritzed it with Maya Mist. It is a little messy and takes a little time but I love to match my flowers to my projects!! I hope you enjoyed my card and I hope it inspires you to make some flowers!!
