B day card

Today I had the pleasure of spending a few hours after work with my youngest niece.

She wanted to make scrapbook cards. She had a lot of fun raiding my stash while drinking hot cocoa with a mountain of whip cream. I enjoyed her creativity and joy in what she was doing.

I did complete 1 card during that time and it is far from perfect. But what scrap card is really perfect?? I played with distressing a little on this one because I thought it just needed it. So here is my creation for the day with all it's perfect imperfections!! lol
I hope to have many more days with Marisa like the one I had today and hopefully with my granddaughter if they ever live close enough.
Have a wonderful holiday!!!

Happy Holidays

I wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
We all have special holiday moments and memories. My favorite part of Christmas was seeing the excitement and wonder on my daughters face on Christmas morning. Now that she is grown and has a daughter of her own I know that Kaleah will have that wonderful look of excitement on her face Christmas morning.

I know with the economy being the way it is families are having a hard time just putting food on the table this holiday season. If you are able to and would like to help a family in your neighborhood check with your local school or church. You will be amazed at the simple requests that the children have on their Christmas lists and the basic needs that you can help meet. Knowing that another child will have that look of wonder and excitement and will not be hungry even for that 1 day is the greatest gift you can give to yourself as well as teaching your children to be giving.

From my family to yours Happy Holidays!

Handbag Money Holder

Hi... This little Handbag money holder was made using the following items:

BoBunny Winter joy printed cardstock.

DCWV Solid cardstock

MLYB chipboard shapes available at Paper Patch Crafts I just added some stickles and a rhinestone to glitz it up a bit.

The handbag was a diecut from the Paisley cricut cartridge. I used the 4 inch size setting so that they would fit into a 5x5 square vellum envelope. I know my nieces will love them almost as much as the money inside!! lol
